August 7th through August 13th

August 7th through August 13th:  This last week we worked all the evening shifts.  Saturday morning I went over and spoke to a group of primary children from the El Molino stake.  It is always fun to talk to the younger kids.  I think this group was from 4 to 8 years old.  They sang “I love to see the temple” for me and I recorded it. Check out the link.

Sunday we went to the Las Victorias stake conference.  The stake president, President Carranza, is also our assistant recorder in the temple.  It was a really nice meeting and we both shared some thoughts about the temple.

The Garcia family.  The mom and dad and 3 of the daughters are temple workers.  The daughter next to mom leaves on her mission in a month.

In the afternoon, we went to speak at the closing meeting of a weeklong family history conference in the El Molino stake.  They indexed thousands of names and found hundreds of family names to take to the temple.  The spirit of Elias was certainly there.

One of the activities during the week was for the children to make family trees.

We came home and Facetimed with our daughter, Charlotte, and our two grandsons, Evan and Moose.  They were through security at the airport in Salt Lake and on their way to their gate.  They will be here in less than 12 hours.  We are so excited to have them come and visit us.  It is going to be a great week.
