We have a produce truck that comes every Monday morning before we go shopping. |
September 25th through October 1st: Tuesday
we had our art class and then did our shift in the temple.
|
I worked on Evan's eyes and brightened them up. |
|
Mom worked on the "tupuy" woven into their braids. |
|
I also worked on Miles. |
Wednesday, after presidency meeting, we went
toy shopping (for the nursery at the temple) with Brother Carranza. President and Sister Faundez, of the Coban
Mission, came to the temple with their missionaries who were headed home. They stayed the night at our house. They are wonderful and so very upbeat. Saturday we listened to conference and then
after the afternoon session, we all went to dinner at San Martins.

Dinner after Saturday afternoon's session. |
The men then listened to the priesthood
session at our house.
|
Priesthood Session. |
Sunday, between
the sessions of conference, we had everyone over for a pot luck dinner.

The other table for dinner Sunday. |
Conference was great and we felt the love of
our Father in Heaven as He inspired and directed His servants to teach us the
things that will help us be able to return and receive from Him the greatest of
all gifts from God, eternal life. Elder
Hales’ passing on conference Sunday was a tender mercy. I remember him well. While he was Presiding Bishop for the church,
I was his bishop in the 33rd ward and he and Mary came to me for tithing
settlement.

|
Everyone uses their trucks as a taxi. Even on the highway.
|
Walking on the sidewalks can be a little dangerous.
|
More uneven sidewalks. |
